This is our next to last rest day. So hard to believe that the trip is coming to an end soon. It feels like forever since I’ve been home, but it’s all going by so fast.
We’ve ridden over 2800 miles, and we only have about 800 left. Just 12 more cycling days. Unbelievable.

Here’s something interesting about our trip – we’ve mostly traveled through out-of-the-way small towns and cities. These are places that you wouldn’t typically choose for a vacation. And, as a result, we’ve seen parts of the country that many people never see unless they live nearby. And, in each town we’re finding something special – a great place to eat, a unique museum, some fascinating history, etc. We’re meeting a lot of kind people along the way who are curious about our trip and want to be helpful. I’m thinking about the guy who bought Gatorade for us because he could see how hot and tired we were after a long ride in the heat.
This is truly a unique experience, and I’m so grateful to have the time to do this trip.
