RV Trip Day 1: State College to Sandusky, Ohio

Countdown to cross-country biking: 24 days

And, we’re off! Brian and I left this morning to drive across the country. Hard to believe this is really happening after three years of planning. In just 24 days my friends and I will start biking from Washington state back to Washington DC. But, first, Brian and I get to take a 25-day RV trip that will get us from Pennsylvania to the Olympic Peninsula. Along the way we’ll be stopping at the Badlands in South Dakota, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Ginkgo Petrified Forest, and La Push, WA. Our first official stop along the way? My parents’ house in Boardman, Ohio. Thanks, mom and dad, for the great lunch today! We had a chance to catch up with them before hopping back in the RV and finishing the first-day drive.
