Biking: 68 miles.
We officially crossed into Ohio today, and it feels more and more like home. Today’s ride had a lot of climbs, some very steep, on the first 45 miles and then it smoothed out on the beginning of the Ohio-to-Erie bike path. We’re grateful to be on the bike path for the next three days.

Unfortunately, my knee continues to be a problem. So, today Brian and I made a trip to the Beacon Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic instead of riding.

I had an X-ray and saw a sports medicine doctor who did a physical exam. I got the best possible news. Nothing permanent is damaged, and riding will not create a long-term issue. I have significant swelling around the knee cap, and I’ve aggravated an old injury. With ice, ibuprofen, and a knee wrap, I should be able to make it to the end. But, the hills will be a challenge, and I need to let pain be my guide. I’m so relieved! Back on the bike tomorrow.
