Bike Trip Day 27: Dubois, WY to Riverton, WY

Biking: 74 Miles

Last night, Brian and I had camped at the Longhorn Ranch Lodge and RV Campground. Our site was next to the stream that ran through the property. This was Oreo’s favorite campsite of the trip, it seems. For the first time, he tried to escape from the RV, and I think it was because he loved the grass and the water. We had to take him for a couple walks so he could sniff all around the grounds.

Today’s ride was defined by headwinds and tailwinds. We started with a lovely tailwind, pushing us for the first 60 miles. And, we were moving fast.

Then, a headwind for the last 14 miles. And, oh boy did those miles feel like a climb.

The landscape continues to be beautiful, and we’re taking it all in on the bikes.

Tomorrow is a rest day, which is much needed after a few long days in the saddle. We’re excited to continue this adventure.
