We’re taking a few days off the bike while Brian and I head home to help our daughter get set up at college. Anita and Mark are staying in Missoula to visit with friends.
I was able to get my bike fixed at the Specialized bike shop in Missoula – Big Sky Bikes. They are amazing! They helped me out with a new set of tires on my way to Washington State, and they’re helping me out again with a major overhaul to my brakes.
Anita and Mark stopped at the headquarters of Adventure Cycling which happens to be in Missoula. They talked to some folks about concerns we have about our route, and got some advice. And, they got their picture on the famous wall. I heard that they also added my name to the sign-in book for all the cross-country cyclists. That’s awesome.
A few days of rest, and Anita and Mark will be back on the route.
