RV Trip Day 19: Darby to Missoula

Countdown to cross-country biking: 6 days

Ah, day five of a five day ride. It’s a good feeling to be done! Most of today’s ride was on the Bitterroot Trail that runs along I-93. I was glad to be on a paved trail and not fighting traffic today, though the close proximity to the highway did make it a little loud.

But, there were a few sections that veered away from the highway and offered some great views.

I was moving a little more slowly than other days because, well, I was a bit tired. But, also, I had a headwind. And, while that sounds bad, the truth is, for the rest of the trip, I’ll be riding the other direction, so fingers crossed for lots of tailwinds.

Now, for a few days of rest before the official ride starts on Aug 1.

Nice to have a protected trail running alongside the route!
