RV Trip Day 8: Cody, WY

Countdown to cross-country biking: 17 days

Ah, for the first time on this trip, we are NOT driving today. Yeah! I took advantage of the time to ride one of the most amazing trails – Stagecoach Trail. It’s a gravel road that runs along Buffalo Bill Reservoir – it’s part beautiful road along the lake and part rough terrain through the desert. Perfect.

This is just what I needed after seven days of driving – a nice long ride with different terrain and perfect temps (mid-80s).

I made it home from the ride just as thunderstorms rolled in. We decided to try ordering Walmart for delivery to the KOA…I hope this works because we don’t want to unplug the RV and drive to Walmart in the storm, and my backup plan (riding an e-bike to the store) won’t work in the storm. These are the challenges of not towing a car. But, I will say, people like us can’t tow a car…we’ve already made so many wrong turns leading to three point turnarounds. Ya, we need the freedom of just having the Class C RV, no tow vehicle.

Brynn’s flight lands tomorrow around 1 pm local time. We are so excited to see her and start our family adventure at Yellowstone.
